Who should be Arsenal's main man on the left wing this season?
- Mikel Arteta faces tough decisions regarding who starts in the position this season
Raheem Sterling
Raheem Sterling signed for Arsenal on a season-long loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day, presenting Mikel Arteta with another quality attacking option. The versatile forward has shown throughout his career that he is more than capable of playing on the left wing, scoring 91 goals and providing 44 assists in 269 appearances in the position.
Arguably one of the best wingers in world football over the last decade, Sterling would work brilliantly on the left wing for Arsenal. However, given the ability of other players, he would be better suited to operating as cover.
He will likely earn starts on the left wing for Arsenal at times but may be forced to play the role of an impact sub, similar to Trossard.
