Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Fulham - Premier League

Stoke Ci--, oops, excuse the Freudian slip, Arsenal have rediscovered their groove, and they'll be seeking a bit of vengeance on Sunday against Fulham.

The Cottagers were partly responsible for Manchester City perpetuating their Premier League success last season by taking five (!) points off the Cityzens closest rivals. Arsenal were truly dire at Craven Cottage on New Year's Eve, succumbing to a 2-1 defeat, and Sunday will be no simple bout for the visitors.

Marco Silva's Fulham have Gooner roots with one former north Londoner, Alex Iwobi, heading into the contest in tremendous form.

Doubts remain over the statuses of some squad members heading into Sunday's game, and here's hoe Arsenal could line up in west London as a result.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Fulham

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - Watch out, goalkeepers! Raya's coming. Wednesday's shutout was his fifth in the Premier League this season, and he's closing the gap on clean sheet leader Andre Onana.

Thomas Partey (RB) - A reshuffle in defence could force Partey out of midfield. The Ghanaian has looked fairly comfortable at right-back on sporadic appearances this term, but Fulham's left-hand side will prove a considerable test.

William Saliba (CB) - When he's not shutting out any forward who dares to cross his path, Saliba's scoring goals off his backside. Is there anything he can't do?

Jakub Kiwior (CB) - Gabriel could yet feature on Sunday, but Arteta should retain his faith in Kiwior after his sound showing in midweek. There's no need to rush the Brazilian back given Arsenal's upcoming schedule.

Jurrien Timber (LB) - Arteta will be reluctant to use Oleksandr Zinchenko again, and it does make sense to use Timber at left-back to match up against Harry Wilson.

Midfielders

Declan Rice (CM) - Get Rice at the base of midfield so he can pick up possession deep in the left inside channel like he's Frenkie De Jong (pre-ankle injuries). He enters Sunday's game off the back of his best performance of the season.

Mikel Merino (CM) - Arteta will be keen to get Merino back into the XI after his minor injury setback. The Spaniard had shown signs of progression before he missed the West Ham triumph.

Martin Odegaard (CM) - It was set-pieces, not Odegaard's magic, which inspired Arsenal's victory over Manchester United. This team is multi-faceted, capable of winning in a myriad ways.

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - Give him a set piece and he will deliver. Saka drew a blank on the assists front in midweek as he attempts to break the cursed single-season record, but the winger's pinpoint corner to the back post led to Arsenal's second goal against the Red Devils.

Kai Havertz (ST) - The German was absent for the fixture at Craven Cottage last season, with Eddie Nketiah (remember him?!) starting up top. Havertz drew a blank on Wednesday, but he had scored in back-to-back games (both away from home) beforehand.

Leandro Trossard (LW) - Trossard played well last weekend at West Ham but came out of the team for Gabriel Martinelli on Wednesday. Arteta rotates frequently down the left flank and he'll hope the Belgian can rekindle the form he showed at Craven Cottage two seasons ago.
