Arsenal travel to Newcastle on Sunday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Gunners bounced back from their draw with Manchester City in midweek with a 2-0 victory away to Port Vale in the Carabao Cup. Eberechi Eze opened his account as an Arsenal player to put his side in front after just eight minutes. Substitute Leandro Trossard then rounded off the scoring late on with a fine effort from the edge of the box.

This will be a tough test for Arteta and his Gunners side and he will have to field a strong team if he wants to take a result from St James' Park. He will be glad to have some crucial players back in action for the tie, giving him plenty of names to choose from.

Here's how Arsenal could line up for their matchup with Newcastle.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

David Raya (GK) - Kepa looked good as he made his debut against Port Vale, but there's no displacing Raya as the number one. He will return to the goal on Sunday.

Jurrien Timber (RB) - His perfect mix of defending and attacking brilliance has been crucial for Arsenal so far this season and he will look to continue that against Newcastle.

William Saliba (CB) - Now nearing full fitness after a shaky return against City, he will start for the third consecutive game and will face a tough battle against the Magpies' frontline.

Gabriel Magalhaes (CB) - Afforded somewhat of a rest against Port Vale before being brought off the bench, he should be prepared to start another game at centre back. Like his partner, he will have a big test waiting at St James' Park.

Riccardo Calafiori (LB) - He was given a break for the midweek trip to Vale Park, but will return to left back on Sunday, hoping to continue his good start to the campaign.

Midfielders

Eberechi Eze (CM) - He will be full of confidence after scoring his first goal for the club last time out. His best moments came in a central role so he will remain in that position against Newcastle.

Martín Zubimendi (CM) - One of few who didn't play a single minute against Vale, he will return to the midfield for this test. Sitting slightly deeper than his fellow midfielders, he will be challenged by the likes of Joelinton and Bruno Guimarães.

Declan Rice (CM) - His presence as a box-to-box midfielder will be crucial as he looks to help out his side in both attack and defence.

Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - Having practically now returned to full fitness, he will start on the right flank. He should be looking to trouble the Newcastle defence with his usual runs down the wing and his preference to cut inside.

Viktor Gyökeres (ST) - Desperate to get back among the goals after a relatively flat performance against City, he will start up top at St James' Park.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - With his confidence currently sky high, he has to remain the starter on the left wing. His form should only be getting better from here, but he has to start to ensure that is the case.
