Raheem Sterling turned in a superb performance for Arsenal as the Gunners secured progression to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Finally, Raheem Sterling has given Arsenal fans something to be positive about as the winger turned in a vintage performance in a 2-2 draw against PSV at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta shuffled the deck with the tie in hand after the 7-1 demolition in the first leg and Sterling got a much-needed start so he could show if there was any juice left in the tank.
Well, against PSV there was.
Sterling was superb, and his energy was contagious. On another night, he could have had a double as he was sent through twice, only to be denied twice.
However, Raheem still managed to influence the game as he found Oleksandr Zinchenko in space before the Ukranian drifted inside and unleashed his shot to give the Gunners the lead.
But Raheem wasn't done there.
He then found Declan Rice with a pinpoint cross as the Gunners restored their lead, and that capped off a superb first half for the former Chelsea and Manchester City man.
Sterling winds back the clock vs. PSV
This is the type of performance that Arsenal fans have been waiting for, and yes, it took far longer than many had hoped, but at least we know what Raheem can do even in the latter stages of the season.
"I was very happy for him, and for a lot of individuals as well that haven't had a lot of minutes recently," Arteta said via arsenal.com. "We could tell in the second half, that we lacked the physical capabilities to make certain efforts and runs and certain arrivals into certain spaces in the right time. But overall, very happy that they got the minutes and they responded."

Such was his performance, Sterling was voted Man of the Match, and now the hard part begins for the winger - doing it again.
With one of his former sides up next in Chelsea, we aren't sure if Arteta will keep Sterling in the starting lineup, especially with Gabriel Martinelli getting close to full fitness, but the England international has certainly given Arteta something to think about.
After being much maligned for his performances since he made the move to north London, this effort will quieten the critics...for now.
Yes, it was a great night for Sterling, but if Arsenal is to clinch a top-four spot, he might have to do this more often.
