Arsenal return to action in Europe as they travel to face Slavia Prague with the aim of getting back to winning ways in the Champions League.

The Gunners managed a rare win at Liverpool last time out as Kai Havertz's first-half strike and a resilient defensive display helped them to a 1-0 victory, their first triumph at Anfield since September 2012.

Slavia Prague extended their lead at the top of the Czech First League with a 5-0 win away to Jablonec in their most recent outing. Mubarak Suleiman grabbed a brace while Emmanuel Ayaosi, Ange N'Guessan and Danijel Šturm also got on the scoresheet.

Having overseen such an incredible win on the red half of Merseyside, Mikel Arteta will be hoping his team can keep their momentum going as they head to the Czech capital a year on from when they last met the 22-time league champions.

Here's our preview of Arsenal's trip to face Slavia Prague.

Slavia Prague team news

Winger Ivan Schranz's availability is not currently known as he has battled a bout of illness for a few weeks. Lukas Provod joined him on the sidelines for the win against Jablonec and it's uncertain if he will be ready to face Arsenal, as is the case with Ange N'Guessan.

Tomas Chory has been banished from the squad by manager Jindřich Trpišovský after showing the referee the middle finger during a league encounter with Hradec Kralove. That incident means the striker is not expected to play for the club again, which effectively rules him out for the visit of the Premier League champions.

Predicted Slavia Prague lineup vs Arsenal: Domchak; Vlcek, Holes, Zima; Suleiman, Moses, Sadilek, Kubiak; Ayaosi, Sturm; Nowak

Arsenal team news

Christos Tzolis made his long-awaited return from injury to start and play the majority of the game at Liverpool, but he will be offered a rest in Prague, with Eberechi Eze coming in to replace him on the left. Arteta revealed after the win at Anfield that he had been suffering with a minor issue, but he should be okay for the test in the Czech capital.

Given the weaker status of the opposition, the Spaniard will likely be tempted to rotate his side, which could see Piero Hincapié and Ben White coming back in at full back while Myles Lewis-Skelly may make a return to the midfield.

Max Dowman was not in Arteta's good books following his sending off at Fleetwood Town, but he could be handed a surprise start tomorrow night. With his suspension keeping him out of domestic action for a further two matches, Noni Madueke is the sole option on the right so will need as much respite as possible. The strong likelihood though is that Madueke will start the tie, and maybe be withdrawn for the youngster at half-time.

Arsenal fans were delighted to see the news that William Saliba has returned to first team training today and some reports have suggested he has travelled with the squad to Prague. However, Arteta must resist the urge to throw him straight back into the action to avoid risk of further injury.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Slavia Prague: Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Hincapié; Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Ødegaard; Madueke, Gyökeres, Eze

Slavia Prague vs Arsenal score prediction

Arsenal made light work of Slavia Prague when they visited them exactly a year ago, and they will fancy their chances of doing so once again tomorrow.

Both sides went on to win their respective leagues last year, but the vast contrast in their European pedigree spoke volumes as the Gunners finished as runners-up in the Champions League while Slavia crashed out in the league phase with a 34th-place finish.

That huge difference in quality will be the same when the two sides meet tomorrow, and Arsenal should fancy their chances of taking a convincing win from the Czech capital.

Prediction: Slavia Prague 0-3 Arsenal
