2. Declan Rice

No player covered ground as powerfully as Rice, whose strength and drive proved too much for Dinamo. Arsenal needed Rice to break from deep to help unlock a packed defensive line rigidly held by the visitors.
Those runs started early, and Rice maintained them thanks to his impressive engine and natural desire to get involved in every phase of the game. His initial involvement yielded a decisive shot slotted in with the quality of a true finisher.
Rice's deceptive technique and skill have been pleasantly surprising thanks to his varied and clever deliveries in set-piece situations. Yet, he's also shown the potential for more goals with the ball at his feet.
It's just a shame that potential doesn't expand to prowess in the air. If Rice had more of the latter, the former West Ham man would have nodded in Ethan Nwaneri's cross for an easy finish and avoided an embarrassing miss.
Declan Rice knows he should have scored that 😫

The misguided header was the lone blot on an otherwise superb night for Arsenal's workhorse in the middle of the park. Only one other player came close to matching his energy.
