Arsenal now know the order of play for their 2026/27 Premier League campaign after their fixtures were confirmed on Friday morning, but as always, there will be certain games the fans are looking out for.

The season opener, derby match-ups, big six clashes and the final day opponents are what supporters look out for most when the matches are released each year and the Gunners now know when they will take on their rivals and competitors.

Plenty of big games await Mikel Arteta and his side as they look to defend their title after pipping Manchester City to the crown in May. These are the key Arsenal matches to look out for in the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Arsenal's key fixtures in the 2026/27 Premier League

August

With just two games set to be played in August, the biggest of the pair will be the Gunners return home when they host newly promoted and last year's Championship title winners Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta's side then travel to face Aston Villa for an away day that has been terribly tricky for them in recent years, but they will be hoping to change that this time round.

September

Arsenal begin September with a home tie against London rivals Chelsea. With it being their first capital derby of the season, they will be keen to snatch all three points from Xabi Alonso's side.

They then make consecutive trips to Sunderland and Brighton, both of whom will be preparing for European campaigns.

October

The third month of the season has potential to be a relatively simple period for the Gunners... for the most part. Home clashes with Leeds and Everton sandwich a trip to Nottingham Forest before they travel to Liverpool on Halloween.

Arteta will be hoping his side can avoid a horror show at Anfield and steal a result, something they haven't done since 2012, a 2-0 victory in which the Spaniard played.

November

November opens with a home test against Hull City before Arsenal travel to face Newcastle United, who will be looking to make a resurgence after a very poor season by their recent standards.

One of the season's most anticipated matches then brings the month to a close as the Gunners welcome Manchester City to the Emirates. The Cityzens, who are expected to be managed by Enzo Maresca following Pep Guardiola's departure, will be eager to fight for the title after missing out in the last two seasons.

December

The festive period sees Arteta's side remain in London for the entire month of December, travelling to Brentford and North London rivals Tottenham before hosting Bournemouth and Manchester United in N5.

Boxing Day then brings a trip to Crystal Palace before making the trip west to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.

January

The capital consistency is set to continue in the New Year as Arsenal welcome Ipswich Town and Brentford in the opening days of 2027.

It soon ends with trips to Hull and Man City though, with a home clash against Newcastle in between the two journeys up north.

February

Things don't get easier for the Gunners after their trip to the Etihad Stadium as they host Liverpool the following week before ending the month by travelling to Man United, where they will be looking for a third win in four seasons.

March

March is another month set to be solely played in London in the league with a clash against Crystal Palace at the Emirates preceding a trip to Stamford Bridge, where they haven't lost since August 2018.

Arteta's side then return home to face Sunderland, who could be competing in the Europa League knockout stages.

April

Tricky trips to Coventry and Bournemouth sit either side of a home matchup against Aston Villa. Arsenal will be hoping to avoid the same slip-up they suffered against Unai Emery's side in April 2024, a 2-0 defeat that ultimately cost them the title.

May

May begins with a home tie against North London rivals Tottenham and is followed by a number of potential banana skin fixtures that Arteta will be hoping his side can avoid to retain their title once again.

The season comes to a close at home for the first time since 2024. Hosting Brighton, supporters will be hoping they can see Arsenal lift the Premier League trophy once again, this time on the Emirates Stadium pitch.
