Mohamed Salah's outburst at Liverpool has been awkward to watch. He very quickly went from hero to zero at Liverpool, with many deeming his public comments about Liverpool as detrimental to his club and teammates.

And, look, as far as Arsenal is concerned, long may this awkwardness continue. Liverpool were seen as many heading into this season as Arsenal's main title rivals.

Thankfully, it doesn't pertain to Arsenal. A player publicly criticizing the club and its treatment of players is not something experienced by Arsenal in the Mikel Arteta era, even when the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil were sent packing.

Nevertheless, Arsenal's GOAT has had his say on the matter, and it does involve Arsenal.

Thierry Henry is the latest to chime in on Mohamed Salah's outburst

Thierry Henry recalled falling out with Arsène Wenger during his time at Arsenal and Pep Guardiola at Barcelona. However, the difference between him and Salah is that he did not bring those spats into the public eye.

In his own words, speaking to CBS, Thierry Henry said: "I had problems with [Arsène] Wenger & [Pep] Guardiola… Did I talk about it publicly? Never. No matter what’s happening internally, you protect the club, your teammates, the manager, and the staff. You don’t air dirty laundry in public, especially when the club is going through bad moments"

And, look, that is spot on. There is a certain level of professionalism that is the unspoken rule for players to follow.

These things happen. There are egos in soccer, both at the player and manager levels. Therefore, clashes are to be expected. Thierry Henry could relate to that, but he couldn't relate to how Salah went about it.

Which, frankly, seemed like something Salah would never do. Perhaps this is why it has caught everybody, even rival fans, off guard. It is evident that Salah thinks he is owed something by Liverpool, despite that very notion being downright disrespectful to his teammates, who are in better form.

Arsenal players of Thierry Henry's time had respect for Arsène Wenger. They also had respect for Pep Guardiola. These might seem like unfair comparisons to Arne Slot, who has only been in the Liverpool job for just over one year, but he still deserves respect from Salah.

Arne Slot is the Premier League champion. He already knows what success tastes like, and the components that are needed. He doesn't need an earache from an out-of-form player.
