Real Madrid have given Vinicius Junior an ultimatum around the saga in which the two parties have been involved for quite some time, according to a report from MARCA.

Real Madrid want to keep Vinicius Junior, but have also given him an indication that the offer that is on the table is a take it or leave it kind of deal, where the club will explore a departure for the winger should the two parties fail to reach an agreement.

Arsenal fans have been very excited about this kind of a deal ever since David Ornstein announced that the club is exploring a deal to sign Vinicius Junior this summer. The journalist also mentioned how important it is for Real Madrid to not lose the winger for free, which insinuated that a sale this summer is likely if an agreement cannot be reached.

This is the best bit of news Arsenal could receive about Vinicius Junior

MARCA's report echo the same, but also add that Real Madrid will not be improving on their current offer to extend Vinicius Junior's contract. There was a big difference between the demands of Vinicius Jr and the offer that Real Madrid had put on the table, and it seems like that is the final offer, whether the Brazilian winger likes it or not.

The club would not want to lose him for free, and if it comes down to a sale, Arsenal currently stand alone in a possible transfer saga.

Obviously, if it is announced that Vinicius Junior wouldn't extend his terms, there will be more clubs involved and the price will be driven up fairly easily, but this is still the best bit of news Arsenal could have received on the matter.

Many fans online have been skeptical of this signing in the first place - not because Vinicius Jr is not good, or isn't worth the money, but because they were very unsure if a deal like this could even happen. Many fans believed that this is purely a way for Vinicius Jr to bring Real Madrid closer to his demands and get a better contract.

However, if this MARCA report is true, Real Madrid are also standing their ground, and situations like this have ended with sales in the past. There is genuine interest from Arsenal, and they will be ready to work on the signing if it is revealed that Real Madrid will not be extending Vinicius Jr's contract.

It may not be a done deal - far from it, actually - but these sorts of reports are always prove to be important in transfer sagas as grand as this one.
