Arsenal secured their spot in the Champions League final for just the second ever time with a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
With the tie tightly poised at 1-1 after the first leg, the Gunners were the favourites with home advantage and they struck on the stroke of half-time to go in front. Leandro Trossard saw a shot saved by Jan Oblak, but Bukayo Saka was in position to fire in on the rebound.
It was an outstanding team performance from Mikel Arteta's side to progress to the final, but there were three players that shined on an historic night at the Emirates Stadium.
Three standout players from Arsenal's semi-final win over Atletico Madrid

1. Ben White
Despite Atletico's defensive approach, Arsenal knew their visitors were always going to cause them problems, meaning they would need solidity at the back. Ben White was key in bringing that in a victory that saw his side keep a clean sheet.
The defender was quick to react to long balls and crosses, making four clearances, while also keeping Ademola Lookman, and later Álex Buena quiet down the flank. Not only did he play his part in defence, he got up the pitch to link up with Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze multiple times.
In a season where his form has been relatively up and down, White rose to the occasion with a brilliant performance against Atletico that saw him stand out as his team reached the Champions League final.
2. Viktor Gyökeres

While he didn't find the back of the net, Viktor Gyökeres put in a performance that was absolutely crucial in his side fighting their way to victory.
The Swede started up front and put in a fight all night as he battled with Atletico's players for the ball every time it was sent long to him while also making a number of great runs down the channels. One of these moments crucially paid off as he took the ball around Jan Oblak to cross in for Leandro Trossard in the build-up to the winning goal.
Gyökeres did have a golden chance to make it 2-0 in the second half when he raced onto a teasing cross from Piero Hincapié. He looked destined to score, but as he poked his effort toward goal, it went just over the crossbar. Arsenal's number 14 will be gutted he couldn't put that chance away, but it takes nothing away from what was a real standout showing.
3. Declan Rice

Not only did Arsenal need their attack and defence to be solid, they needed the game to be controlled in their favour as often as possible, and Declan Rice was key in ensuring they did that.
The midfielder shined in all areas on Tuesday night, winning duels and tackles while also causing problems with his set piece deliveries and darting runs into the final third, on and off the ball.
His showing earned him the UEFA Man of the Match award and that is no surprise as his brilliance was absolutely crucial in his side reaching the final.
