Arsenal Women signed Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal, officially wearing the number 4 jersey.
As exciting as it is to have Georgia Stanway at Arsenal, her obvious on-field presence just took an immediate backseat during her announcement. In what is potentially the coolest announcement video of all time, Stanway took the pledge by adding "Whatever the Weather" to her already impressive tattoo collection.
Georgia Stanway etches Arsenal into her skin
Georgia Stanway touched down from Germany to England with a plethora of tattoos. However, adding a homage to Arsenal's official anthem before even kicking a ball for the club is enough to make fans fall in love with her.

The tattoo was completed by artist Ruby at Fine Line Hearts Club, in Soho, London. It is inked on Stanway's lower bicep, so it will always be visible when she is wearing the iconic Arsenal red jersey.

Stanway has had a monumental career already. An established Lioness who has played across Europe with some of the best clubs in the game, Stanway needs absolutely no introduction to Arsenal fans.
She arrives with a WSL title under her belt already and, even more impressively, four back-to-back Frauen-Bundesliga titles. She is a double European champion with England, and now she wants to continue that at the biggest club in the world, Arsenal.
Arsenal fans took no time at all to warm to Georgia Stanway. The signing was impressive enough, but to seal it with a tattoo is as cool as any announcement could be.
Arsenal fans want a statue of Georgia Stanway already
On X, one Arsenal fan commented "We just do things differently. How cool is this? What a club!!" and another said "Okay.... You cooked with this announcement. Welcome Stanway."
On Reddit, one fan hit the nail on the head by saying "Did she… did she just get a tattoo for this announcement vid? Build the statue already."
Stanway is easily one of the best players in the world. The statement for Arsenal to sign her is loud enough to send shockwaves through the game, but the statement for Stanway to permanently etch Arsenal into her skin is even louder.
Fans are certainly on board with welcoming Stanway, but she's proven she needs no time to settle in. She is dedicated to Arsenal.
It has been four years since Stanway last played in the WSL, but with her former club Man City winning the trophy last time out, Stanway will hope to bring it home to North London.
