Arsenal and Mikel Arteta face a huge summer, but where should he and the club start their transfer business?
Arsenal and the lack of transfer activity 12 months ago for most, has been the biggest reason why the club has wilted over the past month in the Premier League title race.
The injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz left the squad in dire need of goals, yet with the chance to make a signing in January, not a soul came walking through the doors.
That can't happen in the summer, and it has been suggested that the reason the Gunners didn't sign a big name was that it would stop them from pursuing targets in the summer.
So, if that is the case, then we should strap ourselves in for a big summer, right?
But if that is the case, then where will/should the club start?
Who should Arsenal go after first?
The easiest and most obvious one is striker.
Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko, and Viktor Gyökeres, have all seen their names linked with the Gunners and if we are being truthful, one of that trio must come in.
The Gunners' lack of quality goal-scorer has essentially handed Liverpool the title, and if the club was purposely waiting until the summer to land a big fish, then they must follow through on that and get someone of quality in.
But what about a winger?

Nico Williams, like the three striker targets, has been linked with the Gunners for the best part of 12 months, and after the injuries to Martinelli and Saka, the need for another top-quality winger, not just a squad-filler, is desperately needed.
Per footballtransfers.com, the Gunners are thought to be one of the leading candidates for the winger's services due to the wage package that the club can offer.
The publication goes on to state that this is because the club will offload a trio of players that will free up wage space so they can go after a player like Williams and offer a competitive salary.
So those are two positions of need for the Gunners, and both simply have to be addressed in the summer if Arteta and the club are serious about challenging for the Premier League.
And while we ask which position should take precedence, in truth, both have to get done one way or another. Why? Because Arsenal's title dream will depend on it.
