Arsenal have a large pool of players at the World Cup this year. The North London outfit, having won the Premier League and reached the final of the Champions League, is one of the best teams in the world.

Most days, Arsenal players are in action. It might be the biggest World Cup in the history of the competition, but Arsenal have bases across Europe and South America.

This article is updated to showcase the Arsenal players potentially in action each day.

Which Arsenal players could feature in today's World Cup matches?

Monday, June 15, 2026 - Today, Arsenal fans can expect to watch their players as both Spain and Belgium take centre court for their first games at this World Cup.

Spain

Arsenal have three players in the Spanish national team - David Raya, Mikel Merino, and Martín Zubimendi.

David Raya is perhaps the best goalkeeper in the world, however, it is not confirmed whether he will be Spain's starting goalkeeper.

Against Egypt, David Raya started the match but in the second half, he was subbed off for Joan García. It didn't raise too many alarm bells, since Luis de la Fuente also rotated goalkeepers against Iraq. Raya was also subbed on against Peru, so there's no guessing who starts for Spain between the sticks

Maritn Zubimendi and Mikel Merino suffered the same rotational fate in Spain's friendlies. Zubimendi may start more games for Arsenal, but Merino is held in very high regard for Spain.

Belgium

Leandro Trossard is Arsenal's sole representative for the Belgium national team, and he will almost certainly start. Sure, he's in contention for a spot with Jeremy Doku, but it's not really a choice Rudi Garcia will make.

Trossard is versatile enough to adapt his position for the Belgian national team. Against Tunisia, for example, he played out on the right.

Players most likely to make an impact today

Leandro Trossard scored for Belgium in the pre-tournament friendlies. He is bound to start in this game, and he will be eager to facilitate an exciting Belgium attack.

Trossard ended the season on a high, and although it was a collective effort, Mr Clutch came up with the big goal at the right moment against West Ham.

Spain are the favourites to win the trophy, but from an Arsenal pespective, Leandro Trossard is the player to watch today.

How Arsenal's players have performed at the World Cup so far

Kai Havertz has been Arsenal's standout performer at the World Cup. In Germany's opener against Curacao, he netted twice, establishing himself as an early contender for the Golden Boot.

Viktor Gyökeres also opened his account in Sweden's first game, after he scored a clutch goal to secure their qualification.

What today's matches mean for Arsenal's internationals

Spain is the favourite to win the entire competition, and against Cabo Verde, they need to prove to the world why they are the favourites. Arsenal won't have much of a showing in this match, but if, for whatever reason, Raya does take Unai Simon's place, then he will need to make a statement by doing what he does best: keeping a clean sheet.

Belgium, on the other hand, will be hoping to go far in the knockouts, but they aren't contenders to win the competition. They are facing Egypt in Mohamed Salah's farewell tour, but Trossard will be hoping to spoil the party.
