Arsenal need a striker, but will that be Viktor Gyokeres?
The top of Arsenal's summer wish list is low-hanging fruit with the need for a striker the first port of call for Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta.
But then we get to which players the Gunners should be going after.
Newcastle's Alexander Isak is the ideal choice, but the fee it would take for the Magpies to part ways with their star man would be astronomical.
We then have the clubhouse leader in RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko with the Gunners reportedly moving things along to get the striker signed, sealed and delivered.
But we now have a new wrinkle in Arsenal's summer plans and is centers around Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres.
Which way will Gunners go in striker search?
With ample options, the Gunners must make the right choice, and Gyokeres might have just given the club a helping hand.
There are several reports floating around that the Sporting striker, who was thought to be heading to Manchester United, has told the Red Devils, thanks but no thanks.
And per The Guardian, has told the Gunners that a move to north London would be a "dream" for him.
Hmm, okay.
So now we pose the question - should Arsenal squash this dream?
With Sesko the younger of the two and depending on who you ask, has the higher ceiling, it feels like he would be the clear choice, plus he won't command such a high fee like Gyokeres would.
It is nice that Viktor wants the Gunners, but we are unsure if the Gunners want him, with Sesko being the clear choice for weeks now.
Given how long Arsenal has needed a striker for, we imagine that a lot of the ground work has already been done on Sesko as to make a transfer this summer go as quickly and smoothly as possible.
But does Viktor's "dream" factor into this at all? We say no, given all indicators were pointing to him going to Old Trafford.
Arsenal has had its sights set on Sesko for a while now, and if Arteta and Co. stick to their convictions, they will get their star striker, and end Gyokeres' dream in the process.
