William Saliba made his 100th Premier League appearance in Arsenal's 1-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday afternoon and in doing so, has matched the achievements of two Invincibles.

The Frenchman managed his 68th win in the league, the joint-most by any Gunner in their first 100 appearances in England's top flight. Saliba matched the record set by two members of Arsenal's famous Invincibles team, Sol Campbell and Lauren.

After becoming the 71st player to reach 100 Prem appearances for the Gunners, the star defender now finds himself in great company as one of the most successful centurions in the history of the club.

Since making his long-awaited Arsenal debut in a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace just under three years ago, Saliba has gone on to become a key component in Mikel Arteta's side, helping mount successive title challenges.

He has now recorded 68 wins in 100 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, a feat that sees him join two club legends with the most from their first century of games.

Invincibles Sol Campbell and Lauren were crucial parts of the defence that helped Arsene Wenger's legendary side become the only team to win the Premier League title without losing a single game.

The former Tottenham captain turned Arsenal icon made his 100th Gunners league appearance in a 1-0 win at Manchester City in September 2004. Lauren marked a century of Prem games for the north Londoners in the game that clinched them the 2003/04 title, a 2-2 draw away to rivals Tottenham.

Campbell won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups during an initial five-year spell with Arsenal, before returning for a short period in 2010. Lauren enjoyed the same success as his fellow defender, spending seven years in north London, leaving in 2007.

Saliba has had a great spell with Arsenal, aiding the transition from being Champions League hopefuls to genuine title contenders on both the domestic and continental front. With contract talks ongoing after doubts over his future arose, he will now want to go the extra mile to follow in the footsteps of his fellow record-holders to win trophies with the Gunners.
