Gabriel Martinelli (RW) - 8/10 - Tireless work at both ends of the pitch helped Martinelli keep Arsenal on the front foot even after Oliver's intervention. The reward for his endeavour was Martinelli seeing his lofted cross headed clear only as far as Calafiori, who did the rest.

Kai Havertz (ST) - 6/10 - He was not as decisive as Martinelli, and Kai Havertz too often arrived a fraction too later to meet a delivery or was too heavy with his touch. What Havertz did well was use space intelligently, particularly when it came to supplementing midfield and leading the press from deeper when Arsenal had to defend 10 vs. 11.

Leandro Trossard (LW) - 6/10 - There was nothing wrong with Leandro Trossard's application, but the Belgian couldn't impose any guile on Arsenal's play in forward areas. Trossard has found it difficult to carry the creative burden too often, but his keen eye for goal still makes him valuable.
