A come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Southampton means Arsenal headed into the October break in high spirits, and we won't be enjoying Mikel Arteta's side until 19 October when they travel to Bournemouth on Saturday Night Football.

We've grown used to filling these murky voids us Gooners, although there's nothing ongoing over the next few days can truly mitigate the absence of Arteta's showtime Gunners.

There's a huge Women's Champions League clash to enjoy on Wednesday evening as Jonas Eidevall's side travel to Frauen-Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to kick-off their group stage campaign, but what then? Do we merely twiddle our thumbs and listen to the Hawk Tuah podcast until 19 October rolls around.

I suppose we could. Hey, at least KSI's brought out that new 'song' for us to enjoy/endure over the break. If a Hawk Tuah/KSI combination doesn't tickle your fancy, then you might have to tuck into some international football. You could at least check in on how the Gooners are getting on.

10 Arsenal players to watch during the October international break

There are ten Arsenal stars poised to represent their countries this month. This number has typically been higher in recent times, but fully-fledged internationals Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Martin Odegaard, and Oleksandr Zinchenko are all nursing injuries.

Moreover, Jurrien Timber was not included in the Netherlands squad after he picked up a muscle injury in the 2-0 win over PSG, Kai Havertz is staying in London Colney after sustaining a minor knee problem against Southampton, while Thomas Partey, who was selected in the Ghana squad, will not be travelling due to illness. The club are getting wiser!

Lee Carlsey has picked Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice in his England squad as the Three Lions attempt to take control of their Nations League group. Saka heads into the break having started the season in tremendous form and he was magnificent in the 3-1 victory at the weekend. Keep him safe, Lee.

Riccardo Calafiori (Italy), Leandro Trossard (Belgium), William Saliba (France), Jakub Kiwior (Poland), and Spanish tandem David Raya and Mikel Merino are also in Nations League action.

You can catch an Arsenal battle between Trossard and Saliba in the Flemish derby on Monday 14 October, with Trossard's Belgium also facing Calafiori's Italy on Thursday 10 October. Both games are 19:45 (GMT) kick offs but neither will be broadcast live in the UK. American viewers can catch them via the Fubo Sports Network, while Canadians will need a DAZN subscription to watch.

Out in South America, a huge month beckons for Brazil given the start they've made to 2026 World Cup qualifying. Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli have both been included in Dorival Junior's squad as they take on the two nations currently sat at the bottom of the CONMEBOL qualifying table: Peru and Chile. Six points is a necessity for the Selecao as they aim to move away from the middle of the pack.
