Theo Walcott Receives Immediate England Call-up, May the Nerves Commence
By Josh Sippie
Theo Walcott is a world-class player. He’s more than deserving of being on the English National team and he should be starting. His impact will be immediate, as it has been with Arsenal and it’s a testament to how great of a player he is that Roy Hodgson called him up after just ten minutes of EPL playing time since returning from injury.
That being said, this is an Arsenal fan’s potential worst nightmare.
We’ve seen both Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain notch international injuries and lose playing time with the Gunners, and with Theo Walcott’s history of injuries, that has to weigh on just about everyone’s mind, from Arsene Wenger to the lowly Gunner’s fans.

Arsene Wenger may have mentioned in passing that he was happy for Walcott, but you know the nerves that he’s really feeling.
Walcott is an immediate impact player. He’s one of the fastest wingers in the known world and his finishing ability has improved by leaps and bounds over the last couple years.
Gooners fans worldwide are hoping to see him start against Swansea, but Wenger’s precautious approach may prohibit that. In just ten minutes against Burnley he had a would-be assist and nearly netted a goal as well, were it not for Tom Heaton.
There is a lot of pressure on Walcott. Both England and Arsenal could use a boost and he’s more than capable of providing for both. The trick is the same trick that it’s always been – staying healthy. Walcott is way overdue for a string of good health.
