Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund Prematch: Gunners CAN Win

It’s not a happy time in North London amongst the Gooner’s. Everybody is criticizing everyone and in the mean time, we have a match to play in the most prestigious competition in club football. Arsenal square up against Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates on Wednesday and while the odds seem bleak, the Gunners do have a chance, in fact, I’m predicting a win, and here’s why:

Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund PREDICTION: 2-1 Gunners

1. Back Against the Wall

The Gunner’s are a gritty bunch. They always seem to do the best when they’re backed into a corner and counted out. Just think about last year and the finish we had to secure a top four finish. This season has looked bleak at times, but just when it seems all-too bleak, they pull out a needed win (Galtasaray).

2. Dortmund isn’t THAT good

While Borussia Dortmund have been untouchable in the champions league, there’s no hiding how awfully they’re doing in the Bundesliga. This is the exact same team that’s trying to pull themselves up from the bottom of the German league and with Marco Reus out, they lose their premier scoring option.

3. We’re in England!

Arsenal looked atrocious in their first outing against Dortmund, but that was at Dortmund’s intimidating home. This time it’s on Arsenal turf and with the Gunner’s knowing that their fans are a bit sick and tired, they’ll be on top of their game.

With the news that Laurent Kocielny is available and with Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain always a force to be reckoned with, Arsenal have every opportunity in the world to snatch a much needed win from their German adversaries.
