Can Thierry Henry do for Arsenal what Didier Drogba is doing for Chelsea?
By Josh Sippie
Thierry Henry is one of the greatest Arsenal men to ever live. 154 goals for the Gunners has made him nothing short of an immortal. And now he may be coming back.
On December 1st, Henry announced that he would not be returning to the New York Redbulls for the 2015 season (as reported by the New York Redbulls official site).

Arsene Wenger came out and made this comment (as reported by ESPNFC), “He is an Arsenal man. It was the best moment certainly of his life and of his career has been experienced here. Certainly one day he will come back here. In what role I don’t know, that is what he has to think about: what direction he wants to give to his next life.”
It seems pretty clear then. Henry’s exit from the Redbulls is directly coinciding with his desire to return to Arsenal. The question is, as Wenger stated, in what role.
We’ve seen Didier Drogba return to Chelsea and make a pretty decent impact in the wake of Diego Costa’s breakout, so is it possible that Thierry Henry could do the same thing for Arsenal?
Henry is 37 years old to Drogba’s 36, but despite his age, he’s still a formidable force in the MLS. Henry had 10 goals and 14 assists in the 2014 season. While the MLS and the EPL are two separate rodeos, it’s still testament to the fact that Henry still has the prowess to contribute. His presence on the field alone should spark improvement from all those around him, both on the pitch and in training.
Henry is still a force on the pitch and even as a part time player, the help he would bring this Gunner’s squad is beyond measure. Let’s hope it happens.
