Arsenal Injury News: Devastation Surrounding Aaron Ramsey

It’s like a sick joke that is in no way funny. Not even in the least. Aaron Ramsey had a 2013/14 campaign that was sublime. He came into the 2014/15 campaign with all the confidence in the world and after a good start, injuries and fitness pulled him down and drew an onslaught of criticism.

But then he started to gradually come into form, with it all peaking against Galatasaray on Tuesday in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over their Tuskish opponents.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Ramsey assisted Lukas Podolski for the first goal and added two more goals of his own, one of which has been called the goal of the Champions League (see it again here).

But Ramsey was pulled at the half because his hamstring was feeling tight. No cause for concern, right? Just a precautionary measure, right?

Wrong.

Ramsey is now set to miss up to four weeks with that hamstring injury, as reported by ESPNFC.

It’s not even fair. After one of the greatest goals of the year and the greatest of the Welshman’s career, he’s stricken with another injury. That means that it’s four weeks until he’s back in training, another couple before he’s match fit and several more just to get acclimated to full-on play again and back to his normal self.

And that’s if there aren’t any setbacks.

Arsenal’s injury escapades are getting downright old. I thought with the addition of Shad Forsythe as the fitness coach, we were through the woods and out into the glorious open, but our injuries are almost worse this year than they were last year.

Now we’re lacking Wilshere, Walcott, Ozil and Wilshere in midfield. What could possibly happen next?

All we can do is wait. That’s all we can ever do.
