5 Arsenal Players Primed for Breakout Years

4. Danny Welbeck
Towards the middle of the year, you could not find someone more violently opposed to Danny Welbeck’s very existence than me. But the more I dug through his stats, the more I started to realize that Welbeck is one talented individual. For every goal he did not score, he made up for with tackles, interceptions, key passes and effort.

And yet, each game he started I could not help but think this was it, this is the game he is going to breakout. It never happened, but the feeling was there.
Welbeck came in with no preseason with the team. He was just cut loose by his childhood club and forced to a direct rival full of strangers (except for the Englishmen).
This year, Welbeck has an entire preseason to mesh with the team after a full season getting to know them. If everything goes right, we could witness the breakout of Danny Welbeck sooner than we thought (because most of us thought never).
