Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The Swedish Behemoth has hit the microphone again in regards to his future and he has confirmed that PSG is not going to be his home for very much longer, but his next move “will be a surprise, a very big surprise,” (via the Mirror).

It is almost set in stone that Ibra will return to AC Milan, but some Turkish teams are in the hunt, as well as Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. Chelsea would see him reunited with one of the men he respects the most, Jose Mourinho. A Manchester Untied move seems a little unlikely, given how he referred to Louis van Gaal as a “pompous ass” in his autobiography, yet he has not ruled them out. Arsenal have also been in the hunt, but Wenger did not impress Zlatan when he was younger either.

The MLS is the most likely outlet, and he has not denied that he would be very inclined to playing stateside to end his career.

Karim Benzema

Not even Edinson Cavani’s continual link to Arsenal had more ups and downs than Karim Benzema’s linkage. If you google Karim Benzema at any given time, the top three news results will have to do with his future. One will say he is set to sign for Arsenal, the other will say that he is for sure staying at Real Madrid and the third will vary between the two options depending on the day.

Manager Rafa Benitez obviously spoke for the latter, saying via BBC Sport, “My answer is that I think Benzema is going to stay with us. I’m very happy with him.” While that is not the 1000% that Benzema’s agent claimed, it is still a pretty solid answer, and seeing as how Arsene Wenger is denying any sort of potential move, we have nothing to hint that he may make the transfer.

Nothing, of course, except the Metro, which has somehow made the bold claim that Real Madrid expect Benzema to sign for Arsenal.

Either way, this figures to come down to the wire.

Gonzalo Higuain

More from Arsenal Transfer Rumours

If Arsenal really is in the market for a top-class striker, which is entirely up for debate, then it may come down to Higuain or nothing.

Conveniently enough, Higuain and his agent have turned down Napoli’s contract extension and have opted to stay with their current contract that expires in 2018. This is certainly proof that the Argentine forward has no intention of staying and is searching for other outlets.

Arsenal were in the market for Higuain when he originally chose Napoli, but even since then the linkage has not gone away.
