6. Aaron Ramsey Snubs Piers Morgan

Sticking with the trend of bucking the media, this one was even more grand. In fact, it was probably my favorite side story of the season.

Every Arsenal supporter is familiar with Piers Morgan. If you don’t know his name, he is that guy who says that everything Arsenal has ever done just is not good enough. Sounds like most pundits though right? Yes, however, this one claims to be a die-hard Arsenal fan.

After a prolonged episode with Aaron Ramsey that established that neither of the two liked each other, the dueling minds happened to meet. Piers Morgan offered to shake Aaron Ramsey’s hand and in perhaps the greatest line in the history of sports, Ramsey declined the handshake, saying, “I don’t think I want to do that,” (via the Mirror).

I found this one as a symbolic gesture that showed that Arsenal is far beyond the influence of the bitter media that never seems to appreciate what Arsenal is doing. Way to go, Aaron Ramsey
