Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud

I recently made the case that Theo Walcott needs to be slowly worked back into the team. It is absolutely crucial. The temptation may be to spot Giroud a break, but this would not be the time or the place to do so. Again, Olympiakos have no reason to push up the field. As such, Theo Walcott will find no space in behind their defense and he will be rendered useless.

Olivier Giroud, on the other hand, is a monster in the box. If the centerbacks stick to him like glue, he can still beat them to balls. And even if not, that frees up space for his team mates to get into the box around him. This game is made for the erratic heroics of Olivier Giroud.

Mesut Ozil continues to give Arsenal hope. He is becoming an outspoken leader. Give him too much longer and he’ll be the captain. As long as Ozil is healthy and happy, Arsenal have a chance. He can pick out anyone. Any time. Anywhere. If there is space to be found, Ozil will find it.

There you have it. What do you think Gooners? Would you make any changes?
