5 Things To Watch In EPL While Waiting For Arsenal Vs Manchester City

Leicester City is remarkably still at the top of the table and defying all odds. When is the last time the team at the top had the most goals given up in the top half of the table? You would have to scroll all the way down to 14th place Bournemouth to find a team that has given up more goals.
But they score goals. Lots of goals. And that is the main thing.
Arsenal remain the Foxes’ only defeat, but they face a tough match up going into Goodison Park. Everton may not have the results to back it up, but they are a strong team. That being said, they have not been able to follow-up their smack-down of Aston Villa with anything remarkable. They dropped a sickening two points to Bournemouth after dropping a 2-0 lead and then a 3-2 lead in the last seconds. Since then, it has been two 1-1 draws against Palace and Norwich.

But again, Everton is a strong team. Outside of the top three teams in the league, no one has scored more goals. Sounds like Leicester. Score first, ask questions later. Their defense has indeed been shaky but they’ve been without Phil Jagielka most of the year. They still have quality on the defensive side, they’ve just been struggling to find their footing.
The only question is whether or not they can keep pace with the Foxes. They can’t stop them. We know that. But Everton’s offense is nothing to be trifled with. If they can scrape just a draw from the match, Arsenal will be in control of their own destiny.
