6. Hector Bellerin

I really don’t think our defenders get enough credit sometimes. It makes sense why, with all the goals that are flying into the back of the opposing net, but still, without these defenders, who can suddenly absord counter attacks, it would all be for naught and points would be getting shaved away like the good old debt days.

Hector Bellerin is the gift that keeps on giving. His sprinting slide tackle to save a goal against Chelsea is reason alone to have him this high in the rankings. He just does things that few others can. Most of that comes down to his speed, which is, quite literally, second to none.

Bellerin’s incisive dribbles down the right hand side are never putting the club at risk because he can catch up to anyone. That allows him to get forward as much as he wants and wreak havoc on a side that is already feeling the havoc caused by Walcott. It’s a nightmare for the right side of any defense and it won’t be slowing down any time soon.

Bellerin is always going to be hovering near the middle of this list, with eyes on pushing up when the offense slows down.
