Arsenal came away with what has to be considered a disappointing point against Middlesbrough. Here are the complete player ratings.

Arsenal came into the Middlesbrough match high on confidence but perhaps also high on exhaustion, as there was very little rotation from the squad that has been deployed every single match in seemingly every single competition.

It has to go down as a disappointment to come away with a scoreless draw. Now we hold on and wait to see what Manchester City can do. In the meantime, here are your player ratings.

9.1. MAN OF THE MATCH. Two matches in a row I have pegged Cech as the man of the match. He denied the clear-cut chances that Middlesbrough had in a match where his defense was not all the way there. Without him, Boro wins this match and we’re all a bit more bitter.. GK. Arsenal FC. PETR CECH

One of the better attackers on the day, unfortunately. Looked positive going forward and the only time he looked mildly outplayed was when Adama shoved him off, but at least the Spaniard inconvenienced him.. RB. Arsenal FC. HECTOR BELLERIN. 7.6

Arsenal FC. SHKODRAN MUSTAFI. 6.9. Shaky. Gave the ball away, committed a reckless foul. Just didn’t look like he was fully here, which is a phrase I am going to be using for many of the Gunner’s regular stalwarts.. CB

7.1. Again,Koscielny mimicked his partners, although with a crucial tackle to give him a 0.2 lead on the German. Just looked shaky in parts and lackadaisical in others. Not his best match.. CB. Arsenal FC. LAURENT KOSCIELNY

6.1. Shred him once, shame on Barrow, shred him twice, shame on Monreal. Adama ate Monreal up down that flank as he had near free-reign to that entire side of the pitch. I do not like what Monreal is looking like as of late. Not one bit.. LB. Arsenal FC. NACHO MONREAL

He was good. Nothing more, nothing less. Showed good range of passing, a powerful shot and good defensive instincts but if he was looking for a point to vault himself above his competitors in the cluttered midfield, he did not find it.. SUB. Arsenal FC. MOHAMED ELNENY. 7.2

7.2. Very similar to Elneny. I would have preferred Xhakzorla in this match (hindsight is 20/20…) but Coquelin did his job. He stopped play, maintained control and showed bursts of pace. There was just no offensive push coming from the holding two.. SUB. Arsenal FC. FRANCIS COQUELIN

Pretty solid honestly. Of the O.A.T attacking three, I believe the T (Theo) was the best. Penetrated, dribbled and passed the ball with precision. Looked far less tired than his attacking counterparts.. MID. Arsenal FC. THEO WALCOTT. 7.3

ALEX IWOBI. 7.0. A bit of a dud from the young Nigerian. Didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. Had a few positive moments but nothing to threaten a composed Boro back four.. MID. Arsenal FC

7.3. Disappointed, really. Another guy who didn’t look fully there. Thought he had scored the go-ahead goal in the dying minutes but he was woefully offside. Showed good work rate to get back and defend, but all that did was make up for how little presence he had on the ball.. MID. Arsenal FC. MESUT OZIL

7.4. Alexis works so hard. It’s that whole situation where when it isn’t coming off, he works harder and harder and seemingly spins himself into the ground. Fired a couple shots on target, one from a free kick, but quickly abandoned his striker post to play every position he wanted.. ST. Arsenal FC. ALEXIS SANCHEZ

6.8. Lucas mentioned midweek that he was expecting a bigger role when he came over to Arsenal, but, given the chance to impress, he didn’t do much. Looked under-prepared and half asleep at times.. ST. Arsenal FC. LUCAS PEREZ

7.2. Was given the chance to play his favored central role and I liked what I saw. While he did gravitate to the right wing, he was incisive and took advantage of weary Boro legs. Just couldn’t do enough to find that illusive goal.. SUB. Arsenal FC. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN
