Arsenal played out a rather anticlimactic 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the North London Derby. Here are the complete player ratings.

Arsenal could have gone top of the table with a win and they couldn’t even score their own goal. I’m trying to avoid the whole ‘same old, same old’ statements about this team, but that’s what it felt like.

Lee Dixon kept asking ‘who is going to be the hero?’ and it just felt like no one wanted to. Well, Ramsey wanted to, but it didn’t exactly come off.

A point is a point but this feels like a massive opportunity missed. And now Chelsea sit top of the table…

Anyway, here are the player ratings.

Arsenal FC. PETR CECH. 7.2. Did what he had to do. Made a couple clutch saves. I can’t help but feel like he could have done more with the penalty but I may be a bit cynical with that assessment.. GK

7.5. Such a strong player. His intelligence continues to impress me, as it frequently gets overshadowed by his technical ability and his speed. It’s a blessing to be able to rely on this man for years to come.. RB. Arsenal FC. HECTOR BELLERIN

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI. 7.1. A bit indifferent about this performance. Had some really bizarre moments, yet again, that could have come off horribly. But he did his job, that’s the least we can say. Made a few acrobatic clearances that Per Mertesacker would have pulled both hamstrings attempting. So there’s that.. CB. Arsenal FC

7.1. Conceded the penalty. I still feel it was a bit harsh, but it’s hard to argue that it wasn’t a foul. Like Mustafi, did his job just fine aside from that.. CB. Arsenal FC. LAURENT KOSCIELNY

Arsenal FC. NACHO MONREAL. 7.6. I started out the game wholly predisposed to rain dissent on everything Nacho Monreal did wrong. So you can understand that I was a bit bored in that department. Monreal did next to nothing wrong. He rose to the occasion when he absolutely had to and showed us that he is still the first-choice left back. Well done, Nacho.. LB

MAN OF THE MATCH. Such an inspiring performance. Was in control the entire time. No rash tackles, nothing like that. Quite the response to Wenger’s worries about his discipline. Xhaka was everywhere he needed to be and even showed up in some Ramsey-like areas where he narrowly missed a goal. Plus points for the meg on Trippier too. Oh, and for pushing Wanyama off the ball. Just plus points for the whole damn thing. Xhaka was fantastic.. CDM. Arsenal FC. GRANIT XHAKA. 8.1

7.2. Again, this is one fierce man. But one oft he announcers made a point that really struck me. They said that without a man to mark, Coquelin looks a bit lost. And he really did at times. If you stick him on someone’s hip, there is no one better. But ask him to control space and he finds a hip to stick onto. Still, a solid performance. He’s a warrior.. CDM. Arsenal FC. FRANCIS COQUELIN

6.9. Had probably the best shot/chance of the match, but aside from that, not much came off. Offside on numerous occasions and really bungled one potentially brilliant chance, although Iwobi started the bungling. Not a good day at the office for ‘Feo’.. MID. Arsenal FC. THEO WALCOTT

6.4. Oh boy… This lad has a major nervousness problem and it’s tough to watch. You have to be of steely composure to make it and he just doesn’t have that yet. Made a couple fantastically incisive passes, but when it comes to being the hero, he just doesn’t have it. And it hurts.. MID. Arsenal FC. ALEX IWOBI

7.5. Shook off the nightmare that was Victor Wanyama, so it was a productive day. Created five chances, blew two chances and had himself a standard game. Showed some good defensive zeal as well, which is always welcomed.. MID. Arsenal FC. MESUT OZIL

Arsenal FC. ALEXIS SANCHEZ. 7.0. Nothing came off. He tried so hard to be a bigger presence on the offense, but nothing worked. One of those frustrating days we are bound to have on occasion with the Chilean.. ST

6.4. Finally got a run around in his favored role and didn’t do much of anything with it. Can tell that he wants to be the hero at a time where no one else does, but there are more ways to be a hero than blasting 40-yard loopers.. SUB, MID. Arsenal FC. AARON RAMSEY

6.5. Only had one really good chance and he put it straight at Hugo Lloris. Would have liked to seen him come on much earlier.. SUB, ST. Arsenal FC. OLIVIER GIROUD

SUB, MID. Arsenal FC. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN. 5.9. Yuck. Not sure what we saw from the Ox but it was not pretty. Poor passes, bizarre shots and only a few positive contributions. Not what we needed, obviously.
