Arsenal: Eden Hazard’s Negligence Is Just Too Perfect
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal has been counted out of the title race by a dear friend of ours over at Chelsea. And his ignorance really could not be more perfect.
Nothing beats being the underdog and somehow, someway, that is what Arsenal currently is. Before the season, all the talk was about the Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool, even Tottenham. But our Gunners? Not so much.

It was nice, to have the pressure alleviated for a change. No one expected anything from the club despite the fantastic acquisitions and it put them in a position of some power.
And now, here we are, through Arsenal’s worst month historically and they sit just three points out, establishing themselves as one of the big four clubs to watch this year alongside Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.
One man, however, doesn’t tend to think that the Gunner’s are much of a threat. That man is Eden Hazard.
Eden “The Ghost” Hazard has highlighted Liverpool and Manchester City as the only two clubs that Chelsea have to worry about. That’s right, apparently the stalwarts at the Emirates are not on the Belgian’s mind.
Which is funny because the reason why Chelsea have more losses than Arsenal is because the Blues were smashed 3-0 by the Gunners in a display that had many questioning the title-worthy chops of the very Chelsea club that Hazard thinks so highly of.

The Belgian winger is not exactly too highly thought of in North London for numerous reasons. First of all, he robbed Alexis Sanchez of a player of the year award in 2014/15. Our Chilean’s numbers were superior in every sense, but the fact that he was new to England steered the award away.
Foolishness.
The following year, Hazard fell off the face of the planet, producing his greatest disappearance act of his career, and there have been quite a few. For an entire year he was not seen and many were worried that he was actually missing and not on the pitch at all.
Forgive me if I don’t take Hazard’s assessment of the title race too seriously. As a man who has a knack for disappearing when the going gets tough, he hardly seems like an authority to judge who the Blues’ chief competitors are.

On a side note, if they lose 3-0 to non-title contenders, then there is a whole new problem that they need to be concerned with.
