Arsenal: Hector Bellerin’s Mission A Big Time Unifier
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal has something truly special in Hector Bellerin, and I’m not just talking about his talent. Consider his latest mission.
Arsene Wenger has a knack for developing talents at Arsenal, and he boasts a pretty impressive record. But it’s a distinct possibility that Hector Bellerin could work his way into one of the top talents to ever go through a Wenger transformation.

Formerly a winger, Bellerin made the switch to right back and has subsequently become arguably the most valuable fullback in the world. And that’s actually harder to argue than you think. His talent sets him apart because he doesn’t really have any weaknesses.
Any weaknesses he once had have been improved upon and now the lad looks pretty much unstoppable. And he hasn’t even hit his prime yet.
But what makes him even more special (is that possible?) is his loyalty. So many teams are snapping at Bellerin’s heels – pretty much all the teams – yet he has one thing on his mind. And that one thing has become his mission.
“I always knew I wanted to pay [Wenger] off and that’s what I’m doing right now and obviously that is why I wanted to stay at the club,” he said, as quoted by the Metro.
What talent out there at Bellerin’s age, who has the world at his feet, is so dedicated? It’s okay, I’ll wait for you to think of someone.

It’s not something that’s common these days. It’s loyalty and trust on both sides and it is building a bond between a current superstar and future legend and one of the biggest clubs in the world. That is a huge factor when looking forward.
After all, what do most world class players want? They want to consistently be pushing for trophies and have other world class players around them. Well, Bellerin is world class and he is most certainly not going anywhere, we can rely on that. That consistent presence can serve to attract other, similarly classed players in the future.
Plus, it’s just nice to be past that point of fearing what players we are going to lose. Bellerin is in that part of his career where, five years ago, Arsenal would be shopping him to potential buyers and amassing a small fortune off of him.

Anyway, let’s all just take a moment to appreciate how much security Bellerin brings on and off the pitch. Can’t wait until he’s back.
