Arsenal: No Need To Be Concerned About Spurs
Arsenal currently sit one point behind Spurs. Sol Campbell has stated that he sees the Gunners below their rivals, but there is no reason to be concerned.
If you had been hiding under a rock for the past few weeks, then you may not have noticed that Spurs, Arsenal’s bitter rivals, are enjoying a rich vein of form. With Dele Alli re-finding his best play from last season, Harry Kane finally finding his match sharpness after an injury lay-off earlier in the season and Mauricio Pochettino settling on a three-at-the-back system, the white half of North London have been steamrolling their way into the midst of the title race.

The 2-0 win over then 13-consecutive-win Chelsea was a signpost of their intentions and they have since backed up that result with a scintillating four-goal demolition of West Bromwich Albion just this Saturday.

With Spurs now sat a point ahead of the Gunners, questioned have turned to their chances relating to both the title and finishing above Arsene Wenger for the first time in his North London tenure. Sol Campbell, one of the few people to have stranded the divided, sees Arsenal as a step below Spurs, as well as league leaders Chelsea and Liverpool:
"“There’s a long way to go but the way Chelsea are looking at the moment alongside Tottenham and Liverpool – those teams just seem to be a little bit ahead of Arsenal at the moment. If you want to win something you need a good bench, guys who can come on and change things. You need experienced players who can come on and make a difference or change the complexity of the game, to give the opposition something different to think about.”"
Whilst Chelsea are clearly the best team in the Premier League as of now with Antonio Conte disciplining his side with great defensive instruction and attacking flair, the concerns that may be settling in through the Arsenal fanbase surrounding Spurs and their potential are unnecessary.
Tottenham are playing well with Pochettino maximising the talent within the squad. But, by the weight of history, it is hard to see them finishing above Wenger’s men. They have a poorer squad, in which a few crucial injuries, primarily to Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane, could severely derail any title challenge, and lack the experience to win when the pressure is high.

Pochettino is a tremendously talented manager and the threat that Spurs provide over the coming years will only grow. One day soon, they may well get the better of their bitter rivals thanks to their Argentinian leader. That, though, will not be this season.
