Arsenal edged their way back into the wins column against Hull City, but it wasn’t easy. Here are the complete player ratings for the match.

Arsenal’s losing ways came to an end as they managed to scrounge three points from Hull City at home. The Tigers did not make it easy, however, as the Gunners were stretched to their limits to pull out the win.

In the end though, they found success in the most reliable of Chileans and move to a temporary third place until Manchester City play on Monday.

Here are the complete player ratings:

6.8. I hate to be harsh on the guy because he kept a clean sheet, but he is getting really lackadaisical in goal at times and it is so painful to watch. Did make the saves that were necessary, including some pretty solid ones. Hoping he can get a renewed sense of urgency going forward. GK. Arsenal FC. PETR CECH

HECTOR BELLERIN. 6.7. Didn’t have the best of days, but he wasn’t a liability, so that counts for something. Was surprised to even see him out on the pitch after Marcos Alonso tucked him in for a nap at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully this is one step towards returning to his long lost form.. DEF. Arsenal

SHKODRAN MUSTAFI. 7.5. The best defender on the day, but still not at his best. Had some questionable decisions with Koscielny, but at least he was never left toasted. Definitely putting aside all fears that he was undersized, as he won himself five aerial duels in the process of securing a clean sheet.. DEF. Arsenal FC

7.1. You have to give credit where it is due, like Cech and Bellerin. They kept a clean sheet, but they did not make it look easy. Lazar Markovic made Koscielny and Gibbs look like burnt toast on several occasions and I hate to see our No. 1 defender look so helpless. Still, did the work that was needed and fought hard to get there.. DEF. Arsenal FC. LAURENT KOSCIELNY

Arsenal FC. KIERAN GIBBS. 7.0. A mixed bag in Kieran Gibbs’s return to the starting XI. Definitely had more pace and penetration than Monreal, but was toasted by an impassioned Markovic on a couple of occasions. Did earn a yellow card for a tackle that saved our skins, so he got massive bonus points for that. Still have hope that he can solidify himself at left back for good.. DEF

Coquelin is nothing if he isn’t a trooper. No matter how he is playing, he is never going to take a step back in the effort department. He is always hustling, always winning balls back and for that he deserves tremendous credit. But what does it take to get him to have some sort of offensive ability? His passing is terrible at times. He’s a liability with the ball. Beware the return of Granit Xhaka.. MID. Arsenal. FRANCIS COQUELIN. 6.6

7.9. This guy right here. How about proving everyone wrong? Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is making this central midfield role his own. Despite all the lingering doubts, it’s become obvious that even when the Gunners are particularly bad, we can rely on the Ox to be having himself a day in the middle of the pitch. Once he nails down his long range passing, we will have a quality midfielder right here. Just don’t overthink this, Arsene!. MID. Arsenal FC. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN

Didn’t belong. Slow in every sense of the word. Sloppy in every sense of the word. Gave the ball away, held up play. Did not fit in with this attack. The potential is there, but he needs another spell on the bench to refocus himself. Especially with Welbeck and Lucas just dying to get the first team minutes that they have earned.. MID. Arsenal FC. ALEX IWOBI. 5.7

Arsenal FC. THEO WALCOTT. 6.0. Another frustrating day for Theo. Just cannot create for himself. I did give him some bonus points for that bout of fury against Harry Maguire, who I think weighs twice as much as Theo. That was fun to see. But yeah, overall, not much to see here. Not a good day.. MID

5.0. Like, wow. What has happened to Mesut Ozil? Everything I said about Alex Iwobi was multiplied tenfold for Ozil. His passing was horrendous. Pathetically so. He was looking like Francis Coquelin without the defense and the effort. ANd the shame of it all is that he will never be taken off, so we are left to suffer through his shoddy performances no matter the occasion.. MID. Arsenal FC. MESUT OZIL

8.4. MAN OF THE MATCH. You score both of the goals, you are automatic man of the match. He was tremendously frustrated early on and throughout, really, but as is the case with Alexis, you just give him time and he will come out the other end looking like gold. There is a definite disconnect sprouting between him and Ozil though and it’s a shame to see.. FOR. Arsenal FC. ALEXIS SANCHEZ

Came on to park the bus in the 60th minute… which was incredibly nervy. Looked slow, but such has always been the case. Wasn’t reckless, wasn’t foolish. Did his job and that’s all you can ask for.. SUB. Arsenal FC. MOHAMED ELNENY. 6.1

DANNY WELBECK. 6.7. The impact is seen in such a short period of time. He had nine minutes and he was everywhere. Please start this guy.. SUB. Arsenal FC

Would have had the goal if the handball hadn’t occurred. Lucas deserves to start. Each time he doesn’t needs to be classified as a crime.. SUB. Arsenal FC. LUCAS PEREZ. 6.5
