Arsenal: Jack Wilshere more important than Alexis, Mesut Ozil combined
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal are waiting obnoxiously long to determine the fate of certain players, as contracts don’t seem to be a priority, but here’s the priority list.
Arsenal don’t seem to be too interested in contracts. Every time there are reports of negotiations getting underway, everything goes silent. All the players keep chirping about how they want to be here but nothing ever gets signed.

Obviously, the big three are Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere. All three will be out of contracts this coming summer, barring any major changes, and for the latter two, no changes should be expected.
For Wilshere, however, changes absolutely better be expected. There are ridiculous rumors emerging that Wilshere is pushing for a January exit. This coming just after Wilshere himself said that he wanted to be at Arsenal and trusted in Le Prof.
There are undoubtedly going to be shake-ups in the near future, either January or summer (probably both) but if there is one man that should not be part of that shake-up, it’s Jack Wilshere. Especially a fully fit Jack Wilshere, who only has everything to prove.
And if we are talking shake-up, let me come right out and say it – I would rather keep Wilshere than take our chances with Ozil and Alexis. Which would have sounded certifiable as early as last year, but this year, I don’t think many can disagree with that.

For starters, Ozil and Alexis have been combining for the past three years and Arsenal have come no closer to winning the title than they had before.
Wilshere, meanwhile, has been minimally involved in that time, suffering through countless injuries. I’m not going to say that there is something in this, but I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.
In all seriousness though, we have seen Alexis and Ozil at their best and their worst. At their best, who is better? But who can guarantee their best? Not a soul. And it’s been a hell of a lot more of their worst than their best lately. Infuriatingly so. They seem to be getting worse and worse.
Wilshere, on the other hand, is getting better. He always has been, even through the injuries. And now that he’s fully fit, all he needs is that chance.

Not just that, but do I even need to talk about the love of the club? On one hand it’s non-existent, on the other, it’s everything. Wilshere is someone you invest in. The other two are not.
