The send-off is here, Arsene Wenger’s last home match as Arsenal take on Burnley. Here is all you need to know and how to watch.

The Arsene Wenger era continues to inch nearer the exit, and this match stands as his last ever home match in charge of Arsenal as the Gunners take on stingy Burnley. Calls for a united atmosphere have been circulating, and one has to imagine that, given the implications, there would be perhaps then best atmosphere in years.

While this game means nothing on the surface, if you look at the table, you will see that sixth place is not even a guarantee for the Gunners. They sit just three points ahead of the team they now play and, should they drop all three points here, it will come down to the wire to see who can snag that Europa league spot.

As such, and even the semi-final exit from the Europa League, the Gunners are expected to have a strong starting XI out there, despite their last showing where it was primarily a youth set-up. With nothing else to play for but solidifying a spot in next year’s Europa, they will need all hands on deck.

That said, there isn’t much team news to cover. Laurent Koscielny will be out for approximately six months, so the defense will have a fresh injection of youth to watch for as defensive changes are expected this summer.

Santi Cazorla‘s name also has to be mentioned, as he has returned to training after a near-two-year absence. Of course, it isn’t expected that he will be included in the squad, but needless to say even seeing his name on the bench would be such a welcome sight in a season that has had so few of such.

Other than that, just keep an eye and ear out for the mood at the stadium. The Europa League was a massive let-down and now, this home match is all that’s left to the season and to Arsene Wenger’s lengthy career with the club.
