Arsenal: Adrien Rabiot transfer link has more questions than answers
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal are certainly in the market for a midfielder, but while Adrien Rabiot may have the talent, he may find something else a bit lacking.
There are certain players that will just always be linked with Arsenal. Adrien Rabiot is one of them. Anytime someone so much as looks at Rabiot wrong in training, the immediate solution is for him to go to North London and fulfill his unlimited potential.
Well, it’s back. And, seeing as how Unai Emery, Rabiot’s old boss, is now the boss of Arsenal, it only makes sense, right? I mean, players follow their former managers all the time, so Rabiot could be the next to do so.
Obviously the Gunners could use him. Who couldn’t? He has a ton of talent, ambition and passion and he is still young. Even in spite of his recent string of poor luck given the World Cup exclusion, there is still a lot in Rabiot to get anyone excited.

Even if you consider the ‘attitude problems’ that he has had. He is one to make it known when he isn’t getting what he wants, and that has happened time and again at PSG. When he isn’t playing enough, he makes it known.

That could be a problem at Arsenal, depending on how they shape up that midfield for next season, but even so, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was supposed to have an attitude problem to and guess what? He’s turning out just fine.
It’s not the attitude problem that is lacking in this rumor though, it’s the logic of the whole thing.
The premise that Rabiot would leave PSG has always been sound. He doesn’t get the playing time he feels he deserves. Of course he should look for somewhere else then. And the Emirates has long been a potential home for the young man.
But if the catalyst for his desire to leave is his World Cup exclusion, which he attributes to a lack of playing time with PSG, then wouldn’t he want to avoid the manager that didn’t play him enough at PSG last year?
Who happened to be Unai Emery?
Unless Emery has some secret up his sleeve that he wanted to play Rabiot, but the higher powers at PSG forbid it, then there isn’t a lot of reason to buy into this link.

But then it gets even weirder, because Rabiot played over 3000 minutes last year, which is more than anyone could ask for. So what is the real problem here?
