Arsenal: This Aaron Ramsey transfer talk can go die
By Josh Sippie
Arsenal aren’t going to sell Aaron Ramsey to anyone. All of this transfer talk needs to jump off a bridge and never be heard from again.
The No. 1 thing on the Arsenal summer checklist, after getting a new manager, is Aaron Ramsey and locking him down for the long haul. As in, for the rest of his natural born life.
There just aren’t that many midfielders out there who do what Ramsey does and even less who are capable of the heights he can reach. He is someone who can change the game all on his own, which is something the Gunners tragically lack.
Not just that, but he is captain material, as he’s been here since he was a teenager and has powered us through two FA Cup victories, one to end the drought and one over Premier League champion Chelsea.

So when rumors start popping up on the lovely interweb that Ramsey may be sold to Lazio, all I can think to myself is “get the hell out of town and never come back.”
Not towards Ramsey, mind you. Towards the rumors.

The idea of selling Ramsey is like the idea of walking through a landfill barefoot. You just don’t do it. And considering that Ramsey only has a year left on his current deal, the fee would be far less than what he means to the team as is.
In case you aren’t picking up what I’m putting down, let me just say it outright – You don’t sell Aaron Ramsey!
Especially not after both he and Unai Emery spoke out about their desire to work with each other. Especially not after rumors of a new five-year contract offer.
The Gunners can and should offer him any assurances he wants. Literally, any. He wants to play in every single Premier League game? Great. We want him to also. He wants to be the captain for the duration of his stay in North London? Great. We want him to also.
There shouldn’t be any hold-ups when it comes to giving Ramsey whatever he wants. He has earned the wages that he could realistically ask for, he has earned all of it.

It’s simple – you don’t sell a guy you can’t replace. You just don’t. Doubly so when he is such a prolific player for the club at a position that’s a premium. So, basically what I’m saying is that all this transfer talk can go die. With respect. No, scratch that last part.
