Wingers

In the absence of any true wingers, these two positions will have to be filled by any number of the creative midfielders that the club boasts. I would love to believe that Emile Smith Rowe could be found in one of these two roles, or perhaps as the No. 10, but I do think that Emery wants to get started with a bang in the Europa League, a competition he will be expected to win given his trifecta with Sevilla.

As such, I see one winger being Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is in dire need of some confidence. Mkhitaryan has fallen down the pecking order, perhaps a bit unfairly, and these side competitions are going to be great places for him to get his legs back underneath him.

On the other side will probably be Danny Welbeck. The Englishman has fought his way into contention, despite being counted out, and has since made a couple substitute appearances for the club, including scoring a rather crucial goal. Like Elneny, he is a true-blooded competitor and should be at his best.

This is where the primary punch is going to come from, as both of these guys are hard workers who will work like crazy to not only prove themselves, but score a lot of goals in the process as well.

Finally, moving on to the No. 10 and striker.
