3. Aaron Ramsey’s moment of truth

Come January 1st, 2019, Aaron “Rambo” Ramsey is free to speak to clubs in continental Europe. The line of suitors is already starting to look star-studded, with an aging Bayern Munich and a flush PSG jostling for the Welshman’s attention.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

While I am one of the many fans who still hope that the club and Ramsey can come to an agreement, that ship seems to have sailed after the bungled (and unnecessarily public) contract talks.

Ramsey, who has had his (un)fair share of injuries, could simply switch off and coast till the end of the season, protecting himself for his new employer.

However, I am both happy and impressed to see Ramsey give it his all on the pitch whenever he’s called upon, even with his future up in the air. The only hope, then, is that Emery has a plan to address the issue, should Ramsey sign a pre-contract in January.
