4. Laurent Koscielny

No surprises seeing Laurent Koscielny popping up on this list, as someone will have to defend to keep this Chelsea attack out of the net. And while I was contemplating sneaking our starting keeper into this spot on the list, I figure that it’s far more important to snuff the attack before the keeper is called into question.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

And because I really don’t know who will be starting in goal.

Koscielny will likely be in the center of a back three and, as we all know good and well, that requires a lot of communication, which has only been mastered by Koscielny.

He figures to be flanked by Sokratis and Nacho Monreal, which is a lot of experience and not a lot of risk of error. That makes the job considerably easier, but between the three of them, and their corresponding positioning, Koscielny is going to have a huge part to play in the outcome of this match.

Mostly because I just don’t have faith in anyone else to defend like I do in Koscielny.
