3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Play your best players, and right now, Arsenal’s best player is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. In the last four matches, he seven goals and one assist. For the first time in his Arsenal career, he has scored in three matches in a row and, obviously four matches in a row too. He has his first hat trick with us.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

It’s just been a good time, and he has looked deadlier than ever. The only reason why he ranks further down on this list is because, even with those obscene numbers, he’s still a player who serves a very specific capacity – bursting through space and scoring goals.

That said, it’s a capacity that we need against Chelsea, because there’s no room for wasted chances, and for as much as we all love Aubameyang, he does have a tendency to squander chances fro time to time. It is easily overruled by his scoring ability, but against Chelsea, it would be rather nice if we could just skip over the missed chances and be as clinical as he has been lately, excluding the missed hat trick against Burnley.

Of course, he’s definitely a player who understands stakes, as he showed in these four matches when we needed him most, and that will serve him well again.

On to a reluctant No. 2.
