Attack

Finally, a position with some flexibility. Freddie Ljungberg has his most freedom to be creative here in the front of the formation, but one man will for sure be stuck in at striker—Alexandre Lacazette. He lost out on his starting job against West Ham and, unfortunately for him, it went quite well for the Gunners.

Obviously that wasn’t because of Lacazette’s absence, but still, he’s definitely going to be suiting up for the Gunners in this one. And like Willock, and like Luiz, he is going to have a chip on his shoulder to reassert himself on the team selection quandary.

On either side of him, we’ll see Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson. While I would love to see more Nicolas Pepe and Gabriel Martinelli, it wouldn’t make much sense to double up on their workload here, especially with such an intense stretch of fixtures ahead.

That’s okay. Because if anyone needs a chance to prove himself, it’s Reiss Nelson. After failing in the early going of the season, he completely disappeared with injury and, thanks in part to Saka and Martinelli, being overshadowed.

But Saka has to be hungry too. He lost out on his spot and will be hungry to get himself back into the picture.
