Attack

Probably the place with the least amount of questions, though there a few fun ones we have to ask. Mikel Arteta spoke pretty openly about his willingness to start Eddie Nketiah. Apparently Arteta has been quite impressed with Nketiah in training. That showed in his substitute appearance against Sheffield.

That said, I don’t think Arteta is going to make any changes here. Sitting Alexandre Lacazette just doesn’t sound right. Though I wouldn’t mind it. Lacazette will keep his spot up top and Nicolas Pepe will swing in next to him.

Lastly, with Aubameyang again out with his suspension, Gabriel Martinelli will round off the flock of attacking talent. It’s enough to get the job done, the big question is if they’ll be on their game. Lacazette has been struggling quite a bit lately. Martinelli is a spark, but he had a bit of an off match against Sheffield despite the goal.

Pepe feels like the biggest threat right now. He’s been on one hell of a run lately, improving match by match. Again, the pieces are in place for this attack to fire on all cylinders. It’s just a matter of players getting on together.
