1. Corentin Tolisso—Plausibility 7/10, Need 8/10

A late addition to the list, replacing a rumor I really didn’t want to talk about (Jonjoe Kenny), Corentin Tolisso is no stranger to links. to Arsenal. The French midfielder was tipped to come to Arsenal before deciding on a move to Bayern Munich that has gotten him inconsistency on top of unreliable playing time.

Now, with injuries and a lack of opportunity, Tolisso may well be looking for a way out, and needless to say, the Gunners need exactly what he has. He’s a midfield pivot, the kind of guy we’re really desperately in need of. He produces goals, he plays defense, he carries the ball safely and securely and he did all the post-Ligue 1 acclimating in the Bundesliga so that he won’t have to do as much if he lands at the Emirates.

Tolisso checks all the boxes on the wants and needs list and that lands him high on the need rating. His plausibility will go up, we just need more concrete evidence that this move could happen. He’s past the halfway point in his contract, so the timing is right. He’s just such a new addition to the rumor mill that we’d have to see more before the rating goes up.

Also helping, however, is his steadily declining value. While he joined Bayern Munich for around £40m, that value has nearly halved since the move.
