Arsenal: 15 major transfer rumors rated by plausibility and need
By Josh Sippie
14. Kai Havertz—Plausibility 6/10, Need 10/10
The biggest name this transfer season will undoubtedly be Kai Havertz. The £90m young man is at the top of pretty much every team’s wishlist. With how incredibly talented he is, he can pick wherever he wants this next phase of his career to take place. And who knows, that may mean staying at Bayer Leverkusen.
Havertz is a goal machine from his attacking midfield position, he’s got the frame and physique to make it in any league and at just 20-years-old, he is truly one of the most exciting players of this generation. And he doesn’t seem to have any glaring concerns that won’t sharpen with experience.
Havertz reveres Mesut Ozil and Bernd Leno made the trek before him, so for that reason, I see this move as more than a little possible. The Gunners have made big signings like this before when it was needed, and it is more needed than ever before.
Assuming the throne of Ozil is a big calling for someone of the same nationality, and that’s why I’m pretty damn confident that we can make a decent attempt at Kai Havertz.
