2. Goals

Duh. Arsenal has had too many years in the past when they couldn’t score consistent goals. Between Alexandre Lacazette and Olivier Giroud, they’ve been inconsistent for over half a decade before the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

If nothing else, keeping Aubameyang ensures that we will always have one reliable supply of goals, which is one more than we’d have without him. Because if we let him go, nothing is certain. We could add Luke Jovic, Odsonne Edouard, and the whole gang and we’d still need time to determine who, if any, are going to be reliable. Because for as promising as those guys are, they’ve all got their own problems. Edouard is coming from Celtic, which won’t be a clean transition, and Jovic has struggled ever since leaving the Bundesliga.

And unfortunately, we know that Lacazette isn’t enough, otherwise, Aubameyang wouldn’t even be here in the first place.

The only way to be guaranteed consistent goals is to keep hold of our most consistent goal scorer in years. And that man is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Speaking of which…
