Forwards

Nicolas Pepe (RW) – Not playing the full 90 against Everton indicates a starting berth for Nicolas Pepe, who holds the accolade of being Arsenal’s most likely source of a change or goal despite being nowhere near the standard required. There has to be more urgency and desire from the Ivorian, yet the side are more likely to score with him in the team.

That’s not worthy of much praise.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST) – It appears Eddie Nketiah has assumed the primary striker role in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s absence, hinting towards Lacazette getting the nod on Tuesday. It would mean a different role to the one he’s played recently and back into a regular centre-forward slot.

Make of that what you will.

Reiss Nelson (LW) – Out of harm’s way over the past couple of weeks, injury has prevented him from making any squads and perhaps a lack of application in training has continued to keep him exempt. There is some uncertainty over why he’s been left out, having just picked up what was deemed a minor problem.

I speak on behalf of the collective in hoping he has a blinder (if he plays) and keeps Willian far, far away from any Premier League action as a result.
