Arsenal Team News vs Tottenham

At the business end of the season, Arteta is blessed with a fully fit squad to choose from.

With the scores level at 1-1 in the Europa League first leg with Olympiacos, Arteta utilised the option of five substitutes with key players coming off in the latter stages, just prior to the two late goals.

It means there is some freshness for the visit of Tottenham, not least as the turnover time is minimal at best, unlike Sunday’s opponents who had their European fixture reversed and were able to stay in London instead of traveling back from Zagreb.

Thomas Partey was the earliest substitution on the night, a move that initially looked like being fitness or injury related, but was simply for tactical reasons.

There are no injuries for Arteta to contend with, as Emile Smith Rowe made his comeback after missing the Burnley draw, with only decisions of rotation and suitability for the boss to ponder over.

Pablo Mari may well come into the backline and it could be a similar scenario for Hector Bellerin for one of either Calum Chambers or Cedric Soares.

For the visitors, the biannual ‘is Harry Kane going to be fit’ saga lasted but an hour or two after he was seen with an ice pack on his leg after being withdrawn in their 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb. Of course he will be available. Other than that, Giovani Lo Celso’s recovery from a back injury is taking longer than expected so he looks set to miss out.
