The comeback victory over Wolves has been celebrated and viewed as a sign that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal rebuilding project is coming to fruition.
For those of us who were lucky enough to witness the successful Arsenal sides of the Arsene Wenger era, coming from behind was almost a given. That’s how good these teams were.
In recent years these types of victories have been hard to come by. In fact, based on the past few seasons, the comeback against Wolves would probably not have happened. There have been so many capitulations of leads and an inability to put a game away.
While watching the Wolves match, I of course was hoping that the team could come back. However, as the game headed towards the last ten minutes, I was preparing myself for disappointment and a missed opportunity to get a leg up in the race for a Champions League spot.

Then Lacazette rewarded that belief with his part in the Gunners’ 95th minute winning goal.
