Arsenal fans were freed from a new disheartening story from Get French Football News when Arteta proclaimed that William Saliba would have a role to play in Arsenal’s 2022/23 campaign.

This is wonderful news as the centre-back was phenomenal with Marseille last season. Being back in Europe makes game time guaranteed for Saliba if he is unable to dislodge Benjamin White or Gabriel from their starting berths in the Premier League XI.

William Saliba is a part of Mikel Arteta’s plans next season and the Frenchman is a priority to tie down to a new contract, as well as Bukayo Saka & Eddie Nketiah this summer.

He is an unbelievably talented player and, hopefully, Arsenal will be able to lock him down to a new deal this summer because he could blossom into a protagonist of the club’s rebuild.
